Three basic principles to call cults as terrorists
To explain this issue, it is essential for its three main principles to be investigated:
  1. the structural feature of the cult
  2. the heads and leaders of cults.
  3. the extent of advancing the aims using terrorism

Now, the first question arising is that: What are the structural characteristics of destructive cults which are used as suitable means for advancing Colonial aims and terroristic operation!

The organizations which possesses secret organizations have special classification and don’t trust everybody. Also, a special ideology is governing on them. The first thing that a person misses is his/her individuality. That is, he/she doesn’t possess anything particularly wisdom will be confronted. The person is in lack of freedom and rationality. He/she sacrifices his/her individual identity for the organizational one. It is misused by each power owner. like Bahaism organization in which it is also religious. In this cult, the person’s individuality is being destroyed in order for cult heads to dominate the members better. The person also has to accept the claims; otherwise he/she will be boycotted. Under such circumstances, most of the members of these organizations are changing into terrorists.

Three basic principles to call cults as terrorists

The second question is that: What are the role and position of cult heads in cult’s turning to terroristic measures?

According to a classification by Weber, there are two leaderships existing in all cults, organizations and the social events: 1. the charismatic character: It revolts against a special structure and form and makes a new structure. When this head’s period of time finishes, the replaced head doesn’t deconstruct or revolt, but he/she is preserving the previous one’s origin. This classification is true about the cults. A person who is the founder of a cult has got a charismatic character and gained a special character for him/herself. The second head of the cult is trying to preserve the products produced by the previous one and keep these traditions. For example, Bahaullah, the Bahaism head, tries to be distinguished by his behaviors. So, he revolts against Ali Muhammad Bab to gain power out of his of his brother Sobhi Azal. Sobhi Azal was trying to play the role of traditional head. Baha realized that nobody can take over the cult presidency having this role, so he claimed for new assertions and tried to play the role of a charismatic leader and ran and established a new cult. As observed, the person’s rationality becomes oppressed, too. The leadership of these cults have the feature of totalitarian and want to dominate on everybody. The main victim of this approach is the individual freedom and the humane rationality. On the other hand, if the cult heads don’t go towards superstitions, mythology, conviction and limitation of wisdom, they won’t be practically able to make the members follow them. Because their course and path aren’t right. While no divine human being has invited people towards himself and has always invited them towards God: God who has considered the freedom right for person. For example, not only the holy Quran has prevented rationality, but also it has deprecated lack of setting to it. This approach must be compared with those people’s ones which invite people towards modern slavery; that is, “the organizational slavery”.

The third question: Is terrorism posed as an ideology in the cults or strategy or tactic?

Mr. Ebrahim Khodabandeh mentions Mojahedin (Khalgh-Monafeghin) as a cult in the translation of the book cults in our midst compiled by Mrs. Margaret Singer. Having this view, if we consider this organization as a cult and assume Bahaism as a cult, too, it will become clear that cults don’t have a consistent and same behavior and function. Additionally, most newly-emerged gnosticisms don’t have the political concern and they have been formed by personal aims. For instance, achieving wealthy life via usurping the followers. The deviant cult of Bahaism had a political origin at first and bonded with policy at first to such an extent that today it is posed as a political party and can’t be mentioned as a religion.

Consequently; based on circumstances and the factors of forming it and the aims of its heads and supporters, it takes special behavior and function and applies terrorism depending on interior and exterior conditions and changes its approach based on Circumstances.

Thus, the Colonial cults like Bahaism and Mojahedin Khalgh organization (known as Monafeghin) have three terroristic features and it is possible for them to do terroristic and violent measures to achieve their aims. The measures such as:

      – Meddling with the execution of revolationary members (Martyr Tayyeb-before the Islamic Revolution)

      – Killing some people of a district in Shiraz city.

      – Spying and information form inside the country to the terroristic organization of Mossad, Israel.

      – Meddling with riots after the Revolution like 1388 sedition and 1401 one. And etc.
